With Eid travel demand peaking nationwide, Bangladesh Railway has introduced several new features, including exclusive online booking, special Eid trains, and a revised Eid ticket schedule, designed to make travel more convenient and stress-free.

In preparation for the Eid-ul-Adha rush, Bangladesh Railway began selling advance tickets on May 21 for travel on May 31. The online ticket sales initiative aims to streamline the booking process and enhance user experience.

This year, all intercity train tickets for regular services will be sold exclusively online, a significant change from previous years, where counters were flooded with long queues of passengers.

The Western Zone opened its ticket sales from 8 a.m., while the Eastern Zone started at 2 p.m., ensuring that the system handles regional demand smoothly. This new scheduling method spreads out user load and prevents online traffic congestion.
